Volunteer United - United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes

We are fortunate to have a few excellent resources in the Rochester area for volunteer and donation opportunities. The second in this series of blog posts introduces Volunteer United powered by the United Way of Greater Rochester and the Finger Lakes.

Volunteer United is our local United Way’s volunteer hub. You can find, complete, and track your hours for volunteer opportunities. Over 400+ agencies in the Rochester and Finger Lakes areas use the hub to recruit volunteers! It’s easy to search by volunteer needs, items needed, or agency name.

As a volunteer, you can build a profile that indicates the causes you would like to support and your volunteer interests. The platform can recommend organizations and volunteer opportunities based on this information, and you can also become a “fan” of organizations on the platform to receive emails whenever they post new opportunities or events.
